Security Operations Engineer

">Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.

">Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
  • Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
  • Test and examine code written by others and analyze results, ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
  • Plan out projects and be involved in project management decisions.
  • Monitor and manage deployment and support.
  • Enforce standard methodologies, processes, and tools and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, global information security policies, and overall firm strategy.
  • Create an open, honest, accountable, and collaborative team environment.
  • Act as the point of contact for product teams as it relates to automation, CI/CD, and DevOps and/or DevSecOps.
  • Build tools and automation scripts that enable developers to easily consume security services.
  • Design and test solutions to unique and interesting challenges.
  • Improve the accessibility of security through automation, continuous integration pipelines, and other means.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Very solid Cloud service development and orchestration experience.
  • Advanced programming experience in one or more of NodeJS, Python, GO, and Java.
  • Expertise in designing and developing reliability and resiliency in services.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, load balancing, encryption, CI/CD process.
  • 6+ years' experience in Cloud Native application development.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
  • Experience working in CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Exposure or working experience in Cloudant, Redis, Rabbit, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
  • Certified Ethical Hackers or has knowledge about ethical hacking.
