Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced lecturer in optometry/orthoptics to join our faculty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students, as well as contributing to the development of teaching programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in optometry/orthoptics.
  • Assessment: Design and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Program Development: Contribute to the design and delivery of new teaching programs and resources.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students on their academic and personal journey.
  • Research: Engage in ongoing research activities to stay current in the field of optometry/orthoptics.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent qualification in optometry/orthoptics or a related field.
  • Strong background in optometry/orthoptics with at least 2 years' experience in teaching and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
