Job Description

The Senior Finance Reporting Analyst is a pivotal position responsible for generating, tracking, and submitting financial reports in collaboration with the Finance Team. This role aims to provide accurate and timely business/financial transactions, reports, and statements, adhering to local regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Report Generation: Support the analysis and submission of reports to various stakeholders (regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
  2. Closing and Sub-Ledgers: Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing necessary adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period.
  3. Financial Analysis: Perform analysis of financial results and identify causes of variances such as accounting issues and economic events.
  4. Metric Production: Produce key metrics to senior management highlighting critical issues and remediation status, and maintain related operational and analytical procedures.
  5. Process Improvement: Assist in developing process efficiencies and improvement efforts, as well as data quality enhancement projects.
  6. Policy Interpretation: Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes, resolving complex problems and transactions.
  7. Process Management: Assist with managing one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products.
  8. Independence: Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy, operating with minimal direct supervision.
  9. SME Role: Act as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  10. Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of related experience.
  • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education

A Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required, with additional certifications such as ACCA or CA being advantageous.
