Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance in Corrosion Control (CC) activities on the pipeline network.

The role involves maintaining CC systems to ensure the integrity of the pipeline network.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with government departments/agencies for necessary permissions to carry out CC jobs.
  2. Perform rectification/maintenance of installed CC stations according to specified standards.
  3. Carry out coating and wrapping of pipelines for optimum CC operations.
  4. Participate in field tests including Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS), structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), soil resistivity etc.
  5. Plan recoating/rectification of pipelines based on test/survey results.
  6. Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
  7. Present findings to management through charts and tables.
  8. Design CC systems including anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations, and other design features.
  9. Install sacrificial anode system for pipeline protection against corrosion and conduct post-installation survey.
  10. Implement policies and procedures regarding corrosion control of assets and undertake required work.
  11. Prepare reports highlighting coating-related deterioration.
  12. Validate Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify vulnerable sections.
  13. Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessment and propose replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipeline.
  14. Initiate procurement of materials and equipment as needed.
  15. Monitor and check status of coating on under construction and new pipeline projects.
  16. Ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Framework while performing job responsibilities.
  17. Ensure compliance with Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
