Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong experience in backend development, database design, and development, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale web applications using Java or Node.js, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions using Java or Node.js.
  • Create and maintain database schemas and design database queries to efficiently retrieve data from MongoDB.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and ensure code quality through continuous integration and deployment.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to build robust and scalable solutions.
  • Have experience in developing XML/JSON-based web services and sound API design knowledge.
  • Design and develop backend services, APIs, and databases that support EHR systems and Healthcare IT applications.
  • Review the development and coding of Java programs and systems and ensure appropriate documentation is utilized.
  • Understand MongoDB and other relevant technologies such as RESTful APIs, OAuth, and JSON, and have a good understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, with strong experience in Java or Node.js.
  • Strong experience in database design and development with MongoDB, with experience with PostgreSQL a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Experience with FHIR is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
