The position of Curriculum Development Lead – Urdu is a strategic role that plays a pivotal part in shaping the educational curriculum for primary grades at an organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of the Academics Team, lead a team of specialists in designing and developing curricula for Urdu language instruction.
  • Collaborate with content writers and graphic designers to provide feedback on the design and development of instructional materials.
  • Utilize a comprehensive curriculum framework as a guiding document for all design and development efforts, making necessary alterations based on research findings.
  • Conduct needs assessments of Urdu language instruction at the organization to evaluate the current syllabus, involving observation of classrooms, focus group sessions with students and teachers, and gathering feedback from experienced educators.
  • Develop high-quality, engaging, student-centric resources for Urdu language instruction based on best practices from the local context, including the creation of original characters, scenarios, narratives, and stories.
  • Work closely with graphic designers to determine an overarching theme for the instructional materials, including the development of original characters, scenarios, narratives, and stories.
  • Design and develop innovative e-learning content to enhance teacher content knowledge.
  • Research and explore novel modes of instructional delivery and pedagogical practices to facilitate concept transfer among different types of learners.
  • Lead the development of lesson plans for teachers grounded in effective best practices.
  • Maintain a strong connection with the intended users of the resources: students and teachers.
  • Test sample lessons in real-time with students and use feedback from this exercise for improvement of content before its rollout to schools.
  • Collaborate on other projects within and outside the department on a range of initiatives related to curriculum development, syllabi, student learning outcomes, testing, and similar activities.
