Job Title: Operations Manager - Compliance and Investigations

Description:

Role Overview

This is a critical role within the organization, responsible for managing disciplinary cases and ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigation and Resolution: Receive and investigate disciplinary complaints against employees, proceeding as per relevant rules, which may involve counseling, forming enquiry committees, or initiating legal proceedings upon approval of competent authorities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders regarding employee conduct and disciplinary investigations.
  • Support to Enquiry Officers: Assist enquiry officers, committee members in disciplinary cases, the Legal department, and other stakeholders with queries or information required.
  • Review and Analysis: Analyze investigation reports and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions to management.
  • Case Coordination: Coordinate with the Legal department for routine updates, update case databases, seek management's approval for executing disciplinary cases, and proceedings.
  • Draft Review: Review drafts for charge sheets, show cause notices, and final orders related to disciplinary proceedings against employees.
  • Internal and External Liaison: Liaise with internal stakeholders (Legal department, management representatives, and other departments) and external entities (Federal Investigation Agency, Prime Minister Delivery Unit, external legal counsel, and courts) for employee disciplinary cases, investigations, and follow-up actions.
  • Litigation Support: Provide necessary support in resolving ongoing litigation with third-party or contractual employees.
  • Court Representation: Represent the organization in court for legal cases against employees when required.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare and store all case files and documents.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: MBA with at least 6 years of relevant experience or MPA with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Specialization in Human Resources is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and proficiency in using various software applications.
