Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide SAP functional and technical support for all modules
  • Responsible for ABAP development and correction
  • Support the implementation by reviewing project plans, requirements, and deliverables
  • Work with business to ensure blueprinting and adherence to business processes
  • Manage change requests and release management through change control
  • Ensure best solution approach and best practices followed
  • Identify opportunities for change or improvement and automation
  • Hiring and managing teams with SAP skillsets within departments and IT vendors
  • Develop necessary skillsets in SAP within the team and cross-functional teams
  • Ensuring improvements in end-user experience by adopting latest technologies and automation
  • Working with business unit and department heads to understand SAP-related documents
  • Converting business requirements into technical requirements and completing UAT
  • Providing day-to-day guidance as required to drive SAP-related initiatives
  • Vendor management related to SAP application landscapes and underlying infrastructure
  • Driving SAP continuous improvement initiatives around performance, readiness, and compliance
  • Planning SAP releases and patches according to the SAP release schedule and change management
  • Ensuring quality assurance for SAP application landscapes
  • Process definition and ensuring adherence towards managing SAP application landscapes
  • Responsible for creating and reviewing project-related documentations and ensuring adherence
  • Responsible for systems refreshers and restores of dual (ABAP+JAVA) and single stack systems
  • Monitoring and maintaining SAP systems environments for optimum performance and identifying potential problems (environments include sandbox, Development, QA, Production, and DR)
  • Performing core basis functions
  • Ensuring daily SAP backups
