Director of IT Projects

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead our IT projects from conception to delivery. As a Project Manager at CureMD, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes within scope, timeline, and budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish project goals, and drive execution.

Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as a servant leader to team(s), creating an environment where they can thrive, fostering relationships between the team and stakeholders, and protecting them from outside distractions.
  2. Promote open communication, transparency, predictability, quality delivery, and continuous improvement in the team and overall program execution.
  3. Facilitate team growth by enhancing creativity and efficiency.
  4. Oversee Scrum teams, facilitate backlog refinements, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, retrospectives, and ensure continuous improvement and predictable quality outcomes.
  5. Work closely with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to maintain well-groomed product backlogs, plan sprints effectively, and coordinate with dependent teams.
  6. Be a problem solver, avid learner, and expert in Agile values, principles, and frameworks.
  7. Resolve conflicts using Scrum values of commitment, courage, focus, openness, and respect.
  8. Create useful, reliable, and practical plans for software development projects.
  9. Maintain Agile charts, ratios, and metrics that provide organizational visibility and insight into team performance, quality, and productivity.
  10. Utilize team feedback and metrics to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
  11. Coach individuals emphasizing interactions over processes, best practices, and tools to ensure successful deliverables.
  12. Help team members clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
  13. Shield team(s) from outside distractions and interferences.
  14. Ensure correct use of Scrum processes.
  15. Help onboard or act as a mentor to less experienced Scrum Masters.
  16. Anticipate and resolve risks, dependencies, and roadblocks by collaborating with departments such as HR, PMO, IT, CS, and Management.
  17. Track preparation work required for future sprints, including backlog refinement and removal of showstopper impediments.
  18. Educate and promote Agile engineering practices such as pair programming, continuous delivery, Test-driven development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and refactoring.
  19. Evaluate and inspect the performance of teams and individuals quarterly using proven key performance indicators.
  20. Act as a career coach for team members to help them understand their natural talents and strengths.
  21. Build a solid understanding of the US HealthCare IT domain and provide feedback to the Business Analysis team on documentation and UXI.
  22. Collaborate closely with Client Services to monitor Support tickets SLAs and identify opportunities for improvements.
  23. Coach Agile Practices and Scrum Values to cultivate a positive team culture.
  24. Resolve inter-team and intra-team conflicts, impediments, and roadblocks.
  25. Create communication channels between the organization, Product Owner, developers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. 9 to 12 years of relevant Software development experience with a solid delivery track record.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Sciences, or other relevant field.
  3. Strong knowledge of Software Engineering, SDLC, Agile frameworks, DevOps, and processes.
  4. Proven experience in coaching teams through Agile values, Project Management standards, Engineering best practices, quality assurance, backlog management, and team performance metrics.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition.
  6. Ability to receive feedback constructively to improve development.
  7. Excellent presentation, coaching, and engagement skills to inspire and influence teams and stakeholders.
  8. Experience in US Healthcare IT industry project delivery is preferred.
  9. Enterprise-level Software as a Service (SaaS) Product development experience is preferred.
  10. Candidates with a demonstrated track record of consistent, long-term career commitments are preferred.
  11. Masters in Project Management or PMP, PSM, CSM, S@S, SAFe certification(s) are preferred.
