Job Title: Senior Fraud Risk Analyst

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Fraud Risk Analyst.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate complex situations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transaction monitoring operations and be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and risk-based decision-making in conducting in-depth investigations.

  • Review alerts generated by TM systems and ensure anomalous activities are escalated appropriately according to regulatory requirements.
  • Gather intelligence from media reports and relevant websites to identify customers involved in crimes, money laundering, terrorism, etc., and stay updated on the latest AML trends.
  • Verify the authenticity of transactions within each alert, checking the principal activities of the customer to ensure trading patterns or transactional activities are typical.
  • Investigate unusual activity, such as transactions out of line with the client's normal business activity.
  • Document the rationale for actions taken during investigations.
  • Follow established processes and standards diligently.
  • Complete assigned tasks independently within the designated timeframe, meeting process benchmarks.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and quality as per process standards.
  • Accurately update all data requirements, including timesheets and process information, promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance department regarding new business initiatives and adhere to relevant processes and procedures.
  • Investigate issues or problems effectively, resolving them or referring them with recommendations to the Line Manager.
  • Provide clear and concise questions and requests for supporting documents during the RFI process to address concerns while maintaining customer satisfaction.
