Job Role Summary

As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing server-side logic, ensuring seamless data exchange between the server and users.

You will work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, utilizing your expertise in backend stacks like .NET and Node.js.

In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side applications, implementing data storage solutions, and performing database optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining server-side applications using backend stacks.
  • Designing and implementing efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Implementing data storage solutions and performing database optimization.
  • Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, or other .NET web frameworks.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as Express.js and Hapi.js.
  • Experience with database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with experience in database design and development.
  • An understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • An understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and their related services.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
