Molecular Pathologist – Faculty Position

Role Overview:
- We seek an accomplished pathologist to assume a faculty position within our esteemed department.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in molecular and cytogenetic diagnostics, with expertise in techniques such as sequencing, PCR, karyotyping, and FISH. A keen interest in advancing pathology's role, particularly in the development of new companion diagnostics for various conditions, is highly desirable.
About the PositionThis senior-level faculty appointment entails co-directing a comprehensive cytogenetics laboratory, where you will conduct chromosome analysis, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and analyze neoplastic and constitutional specimens. You should have substantial experience in these areas, preferably with at least three to five years of experience.
You are expected to demonstrate strong capabilities in clinical, translational, or laboratory-based research, indicating the importance of not only clinical expertise but also the ability to contribute to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field through research endeavors.
In this capacity, you will collaborate with colleagues to advance the department's research agenda and expand its scope of activities, including cutting-edge molecular technologies and informatics solutions.
RequirementsCandidates for this position should have completed post-graduate training from a reputable institution and obtained relevant qualifications such as FCPS, FRCPath, or American Board certification in Clinical Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics/Pathology and equivalent.
Applicants should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the field and proficiency in both clinical practice and laboratory techniques. Additionally, they should have a track record of published research, teaching experience, and excellent communication skills.
