Surgical Technologist

The role of a Surgical Technologist is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the Operating Room. As an integral part of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, equipment, and supplies before each surgery.

You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure that all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning properly. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. This may involve explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing emotional support during what can be a stressful time.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A diploma in Operating Theatre Technician from a reputable institution
• Good understanding of anatomy, physiology, and surgical terminology
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
