The MGH Center for Cancer Research is currently seeking to fill a challenging research position in the field of cancer therapies and cell research.

As a Research Technician II, you will work under the mentorship of Dr. Andrea McClatchey, gaining hands-on experience in functional research, running experiments, analyzing data, and other laboratory functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in experiments for research projects under supervision, with a focus on understanding cancer cell therapies and conducting experiments related to schwannoma and cholangiocarcinoma heterogeneity.

This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and learn in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  2. 1-2 years of previous research lab experience required.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret data results.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Competence in research techniques and methodologies.
  • Basic cell culture experience.
  • Basic confocal imaging experience.
