Product Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience building robust and performant backend systems using modern technology, including Python, FastAPI, Cloud Load Balancing, Redis, asyncio, OAuth2.0, Pub/Sub (Protobuf), and Google Firestore (NoSQL).

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of backend development best practices, including system design, performance optimization, async frameworks, and scalable architecture. They will be able to take initiative and get things done, quickly evaluate tradeoffs and make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced, changing, environment.

  • Talking to customers to understand their pain points and requests
  • Designing and planning potential solutions
  • Writing the backend for a new feature
  • Working with and improving our LLM orchestration
  • Setting up the infrastructure to make these features happen
  • Implementing data observability / error tracking
  • Testing your feature, which involves manual e2e tests and writing automated integration tests
  • Fighting fires - know when to deploy a fast hack and when to solve a bug for good
  • Getting customer feedback and iterating
