Assistant Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Tax Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in overall tax planning, refunds, exemption planning, and routine tax matters.

The ideal candidate will have expertise on Sales Tax practices and exemptions, ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Ordinance and obtaining exemptions as per law. They will also stay up-to-date on various SROs relating to import and GST, assist in obtaining refunds from the Income Tax Department, evaluate issues related to double taxation treaties, verify routine tax returns submitted by the company, handle all tax audits, conduct complex tax research to identify benefits for the organization, develop tax planning strategies, collaborate with accounting staff members during client meetings as required, review tax accruals, analyze Tax authorities' notices and drafting responses, review and finalize Tax authorities' notice responses prepared by other tax personnel, supervise tax staff and delegate work through effective work plans, make presentations to senior management regarding identified issues, develop and maintain Tax Management Information System (MIS) and integrate it into software, and provide regular Tax Alerts to senior management regarding potential or actual changes in the tax environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must possess part qualification in Chartered Accountancy and LLB, along with work experience at one of the BIG FOUR Firms. A self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills is preferred. The maximum age limit is 35 years.
