Experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled bookkeeper/accountant to join our team in Islamabad.

This role requires strong understanding of tax principles, proficiency in bookkeeping, and expertise in UK VAT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Request paperwork/records from clients
  • Bookkeeping for various clients using accounting software (VT, Sage, QB etc.)
  • Preparation of VAT returns for Ltd companies/Sole traders
  • Reconciling control accounts, such as bank accounts, sales ledgers, purchase ledgers, etc.
  • Addressing client queries during bookkeeping
  • Organising workload to meet deadlines
  • Communicating with HMRC VAT office when required
  • Assisting senior accountants
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year's experience working with a UK-based accounting firm
  • UK tax and accounts knowledge
  • Knowledge of all UK VAT schemes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including One Drive
  • Proficiency in using accounting software especially VT
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
