About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our team as a key member of our engineering department. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in instrumentation design, control systems, and safety systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing P&IDs with respect to control and safety requirements, preparing instrument indexes following P&IDs, and assisting designers with preparation of cable block diagrams, cable routing, equipment layouts, and termination drawings.

  • Reviewing P&IDs with respect to control and safety requirements

  • Preparing instrument indexes following P&IDs

  • Assisting designers with preparation of cable block diagrams, cable routing, equipment layouts, and termination drawings

  • Preparing I/O lists concerning instrument indexes, process, and control system design requirements

  • Preparing and reviewing instrument data sheets

  • Preparing and reviewing instrument wiring diagrams

  • Reviewing loop drawings

  • Reviewing and approving installation, operation, and maintenance manuals of instruments

  • Preparing junction box schedules

  • Preparing instrument cable schedules

  • Developing specifications for field instruments, control, and safety systems, valves, and other instrument-related items

  • Preparing DCS and ESD specifications

  • Reviewing and approving vendor documents for instrumentation

  • Conducting technical clarification review meetings with clients

  • Performing technical bid evaluations

  • Conducting kick-off meetings with successful bidders

  • Liaising with disciplines within the company

  • Preparing material requisitions (MRs) and purchase requisitions (PRs)

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • BSc./MSc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

  • 5-10 years of experience in FEED & Detail Engineering within the Oil and Gas sector

  • Expertise in engineering design

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
