Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Architect to join our development team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for software and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for engagement in the planning phase, designing and developing backend services, APIs, and databases that support our EHR system and Healthcare IT applications.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Design and develop large-scale web applications with a strong focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining database schemas and design database queries to efficiently retrieve data from the MongoDB database.
  • Writing reusable and modular code in Java or Node.js and integrating it with other systems and applications.
  • Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks such as Express.js, Koa.js, Nest.js, Spring Boot, or Micronaut and ensuring code quality through continuous integration and deployment.
  • Having experience in developing XML/JSON-based web services.
  • Sound API design and knowledge of HTTP principles are vital to providing robust, easily consumed services for the rest of the company.
  • Reviewing the development and coding of Java programs and systems. Ensuring appropriate documentation is utilized in information systems projects.
  • Understanding MongoDB, as well as other relevant technologies such as RESTful APIs, OAuth, and JSON. Having a good understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Researching, testing, benchmarking, and evaluating new technology. Solving the types of mysteries that only occur at a high scale.
  • Performing post-implementation reviews to determine if the system and cost objectives of the project were achieved.
  • Developing work plans and cost estimates and analyzing alternative approaches; advising users on the feasibility of a cost-effective conversion to web-based systems.
  • Analyzing and recommending new procedures and techniques to improve the supported systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and Healthcare IT.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
