Network Administrator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the campus network infrastructure.

This includes ensuring that all network systems function efficiently and securely, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

  • Manage and maintain the university's campus network infrastructure.
  • Optimize network performance and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science, or a relevant field with a minimum 3.0 CGPA.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in managing campus networks.

Key Skills:

  • Advanced Networking Knowledge:
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, FTP, and HTTP/S protocols.
    • LAN, WAN, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, VPN, and wireless networks.
    • Cisco routers, L2/L3 switches, Nexus 9K, Cisco ASA firewalls, load balancers, PFSense, and MikroTik equipment.
  • Operating Systems & Servers:
    • Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and macOS platforms.
    • Active Directory (AD), DNS servers, and file servers.
  • Network Security:
    • Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, antivirus software, and network access controls (NAC).
    • DDoS attacks, phishing, and malware detection tools.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, and MRTG/PRTG/CACTI tools.
    • Network performance and security monitoring.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions:
    • Implementing and managing disaster recovery plans.
  • Network Design and Implementation:
    • Scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.
    • Capacity planning for growth.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Network configurations, system logs, and changes records.
    • Network performance reports.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
