Assistant Tax Professional

The ideal candidate will be responsible for filing tax returns, including sales tax and withholding tax. They will also prepare tax challans, annual income tax returns, and annual withholding tax returns.

Job Responsibilities
  • Filing of monthly sales tax returns and withholding tax returns;
  • Preparation of tax challans, annual income tax returns, and annual withholding tax returns;
  • Correspondence with vendors to obtain sales tax invoices and provide vendors with tax deduction certificates;
  • Correspondence with customers to provide them with advance tax deduction certificates;
  • Staying up-to-date with taxation rates, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a taxation department, preferably in an industry setting rather than an audit firm;
  • Masters or equivalent qualification, such as CA/ACCA/ICMA/CIMA;
  • Candidates with part-qualified professional degrees having at least 2 years of experience are also eligible;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any accounting software;
  • Highly competent in using the eFBR website;
  • Knowledge of e-filing of all tax returns, including withholding, sales tax, and income tax;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Pakistani taxation rates, rules, and regulations;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
