Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

This role involves working on complex data-intensive projects and developing software in the user interface or service layers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Python, Spark best practices, and commonly used modules based on work experience.

They will be responsible for prototyping, developing, and troubleshooting software, as well as participating in collaborative technical discussions focusing on software user experience, design, architecture, and development.

Additionally, they should have experience with technical project documentation and managing Github PRs.

Our team is looking for someone who can work under minimal supervision, has a development background in data engineering, and experience working with onsite and offshore teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems
  • Developing and deploying scalable data pipelines using tools like Apache Beam or Spark
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into business processes
  • Identifying and mitigating technical debt in existing systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Relational database experience required
  • Reporting experience with Jet, Power BI, or Tableau
  • ETL experience and programming skills in Java or Python
