Senior Sourcing Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Sourcing Director to lead our strategic Asian sourcing initiatives in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This role will be responsible for developing and managing business relationships with external suppliers, ensuring negotiated contracts meet quality and service requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of textile industry experience, with senior management sourcing experience and in-depth knowledge of internal purchasing procedures and processes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage business relationships with external suppliers to ensure quality and service requirements are met.
  • Establish a representative office in Karachi to coordinate all sourcing activities.
  • Increase new product development speed to market.
  • Develop new processes to support revenue growth opportunities.
  • Lead the implementation of Asian sourcing activities that meet company strategic objectives.
  • Analyze industry trends to assess short and long-term strategic sourcing goals and objectives.
  • Develop and communicate pricing forecasts for use in business planning.
  • Track key performance metrics, including on-time delivery, quality assurance rating, and factory capacities.
Fully Qualified Candidates:
  • Hold 7+ years of textile industry experience, with senior management sourcing experience and in-depth knowledge of internal purchasing procedures and processes.
  • Demonstrate a track record of improving supplier performance and reducing cost.
  • Utilize appropriate methods and interpersonal styles to build a cohesive team.
  • Apply interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and build effective relationships with business partners.
  • Expect strong procurement experience or the ability to quickly acquire complex strategic procurement skills.
  • Some travel required.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, textiles, or related field experience.
