The Department of Anaesthesia at a hospital provides perioperative care and operating room facilities for surgical procedures, intensive care in the surgical ICU, and acute/chronic pain management services.

Our team consists of anesthesiologists, nurses, and skilled technicians who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We adopt appropriate standards for safeguarding relationships with our diverse workforce and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Pack, seal, and label instruments' packs and trays according to department policy.
  • Monitor sterilization of dressings, linen, microsurgical instrument trays, and equipment as per policy.
  • Operate washing machines, dryers, sterilizers, or machinery in the central sterile services department.
  • Assist with routine quality control tests for sterilization.
  • Monitor stock levels of detergents, disinfectants, glove powder, and refill when necessary.
  • Replenish consumables from the bulk store.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment/instruments to supervisors.
  • Dispatch formulae as required.
  • Assist Chargehand in managing workload and teaching Health Care Assistants required skills.
Requirements
  • Matriculation; Intermediate preferred.
  • Diploma in Anaesthesia or OT.
  • At least one year of relevant experience from a reputable healthcare organization.
  • Ability to organize work and follow instructions.
  • Understanding of Sterilization & Disinfection Service practices and techniques.
