Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As the go-to person for all things backend, you'll work closely with our CTO and Tech Lead to drive technical direction and implement features from idea to execution in production.

You'll be responsible for deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, supporting, maintaining, and evolving features and code under your responsibility. To accelerate development, debugging, and testing, you'll leverage AI-powered engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software components using Java SpringBoot, Hibernate, and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize feature development.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Leverage automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience as a backend or product engineer, building user-facing products.
  • Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals in Java.
  • Spring Boot, Hibernate (or equivalent) experience.
  • Relational Database Design and SQL optimization.
  • Testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with Go or Typescript.
  • Experience with owning features end-to-end, from idea to execution to delivery in production.
  • Extensive experience with AI-powered engineering tools, and how to validate outputs.
