Key Responsibilities:- Inspection and Assessment
- Inspect properties thoroughly to identify pest presence, types, and severity of infestations.
- Create customized pest management plans based on the assessment, considering pests, habits, and environment.
- Treatment Application
- Apply various methods, including chemical treatments (like insecticides), baiting systems, traps, and physical barriers (like sealing cracks and gaps), to eliminate pests.
- Client Communication
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients about the pest control process, treatment plans, safety precautions, and prevention measures.
- Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, treatments, and outcomes to monitor progress and ensure compliance with regulations and insurance requirements.
- Safety Precautions
- Follow strict safety protocols when handling chemicals and equipment to protect yourself and others.
- Monitoring and Maintenance
- Monitor for pest resurgence and implement maintenance measures to prevent future infestations.
Education and Training
Typically, formal qualifications include a Matriculation (Matric) or equivalent or Intermediate level. Basic understanding of pest control techniques is a plus, but training is usually provided by employers.
