Job Description

The role of a Senior Venture Builder / Lead at Lightcone Capital involves identifying attractive market opportunities and determining the problems we're solving for whom, why, and the market size.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define value proposition, go-to-market strategy, roadmap, financial model, including unit economics, scaling levers, and success metrics in 1-3 years.
  • Launch and iterate on the Minimum Lovable Product/Service (MLP/S) using low/no code tools and measure relevant KPIs.
  • Lead as an interim founder until we hire external leadership, help recruit, and assist existing ventures when needed.
  • Rinse and repeat the process.
Requirements
  • Bias for action: move with urgency, focus, and pragmatism to quickly unblock yourself by finding answers and deciding fast.
  • Courage under fire: be willing to take ownership and get hands dirty in a high-ownership role, handling initial idea triage, discovery, testing, analysis, and pitching recommendations to Founding Partners.
  • No work is beneath you: demonstrate a serious get-shit-done attitude and hands-on approach to accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held: love numbers, back decisions with data, research new topics, track KPIs, and manually clean, crunch, and enrich data to support evidence-driven decision-making.
  • Optimism as an Operating System: maintain a positive baseline, handle high-pressure situations with timely, composed, and candid reactions, and offer constructive feedback.
