Your Responsibilities- You will work with development teams and product managers to consider software solutions.
- You will provide estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing.
- You will design client-side and server-side architecture.
- You will build the back-end of applications in Java Core 1.8 (JSP/Servlets).
- You will play an active part in technology upgradation to Spring MVC/ Spring Boot.
- You will develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
- You will write effective APIs (Jersy REST API).
- You will test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- You will troubleshoot and debug the application.
- You will write technical documentation.
- You will work with Product Configuration and QA Team to improve software.
- You will use the right language and framework for the challenge at hand.
- You will take proactive responsibility for deliverables and meeting deadlines.
- You will stay up-to-date with current coding practices and industry trends, keeping informed of new technology that can be used in future projects.
- You have proven experience as a back end developer or similar role.
- You have proven Java programming skills with focus on core Java technology.
- You have experience developing Web application (JSP/Servlets) and REST Services in Java.
- You have knowledge of Insurance or Financial applications.
- You have knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
- You have familiarity with relational database (SQL Server), web servers (e.g. Tomcat and Glassfish)
- You have knowledge of structuring and designing databases.
- You have knowledge of creating APIs to pull from databases.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You have an analytical mind.
- You have an independent but collaborative working style.
- You hold a degree in Computer Science (BS OR MS).
