Job Title: GBV Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GBV Support Specialist to join our team. This role will involve providing support in the development, implementation, and monitoring of GBV programs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response, with experience in working in international contexts. They will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the principles of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, as well as the ability to apply these principles in programming.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support and guidance to operational and implementing partners on GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response.
    • Develop and implement GBV programs that address the needs of vulnerable populations.
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that GBV programming is integrated into broader humanitarian responses.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in International Development, Social Work, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in GBV programming, preferably in an international context.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response principles.
  • Experience working with communities and developing program plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Masters degree in International Development or a related field.
  • Experience working with UNHCR or other humanitarian organizations.
  • Familiarity with GBV case management and referral pathways.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages is an asset.
