The Community Health Outreach Promoter will play a crucial role in promoting health awareness and participation among the local community. This will involve implementing health, hygiene promotion, education, and awareness components of the HEALTH program in targeted areas.
Main ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include building partnerships with key stakeholders and community members, coordinating with program staff for project implementation, conducting awareness sessions and outreach activities to inform community members about available services, and organizing and facilitating community awareness sessions on health basics and key activities at IMC health facilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Secondary School Certificate / Matric, previous experience as a community volunteer, and awareness of local culture and languages.
This position requires a commitment to promoting compliance and ethics, adhering to IMC and donor standards, preventing violations like conflicts of interest, fraud, and harassment, and reporting any violations. Supervisors should model ethical behavior, ensure staff awareness and compliance, and enforce policies fairly.
All staff are responsible for safeguarding vulnerable populations, including preventing exploitation, abuse, neglect, trafficking, and ensuring protection of children, adults at risk, and LGBTI individuals.
