About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hadoop Migration Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Hadoop ecosystem, experience in migration tools and methodologies, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop migration strategies for Hadoop to Teradata Vantage migration projects.
  2. Understand the customer's existing Hadoop ecosystem including all technology stack components involving batch and real-time data pipelines.
  3. Propose a target architecture leveraging modern data stack components such as Teradata Vantage ecosystem including object store like S3, Azure blob and other cloud native services.
  4. Leverage existing migration tools and methodology to efficiently convert Hadoop technical stack to the Teradata Vantage ecosystem.
  5. Work closely with customer SMEs and Technical Leads on understanding the migration strategy and solution.
  6. Report any issues or risks to Technical Leads and Project Manager.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of IT work experience, with 5+ years in Leadership roles.
  2. Minimum 2 years of Data Analytics related experience.
  3. Minimum 2 years' experience in Hadoop ecosystem.
  4. Deep knowledge of Hadoop components such as HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Nifi, Spark Streaming, etc.
  5. Knowledge of Teradata product is a major plus.
  6. Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica is a major plus.
