Claims Processor

This position involves the accurate and timely submission of electronic claims to third-party payers. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving claim rejections, performing monthly patient statement billing, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with various billing software applications, including MS Office.
• Prior healthcare-related billing experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third-party payers.
• Processing of all rejected and denied claims submitted to third-party payers.
• Ability to work with EOB or EOP CPT AND ICD 10 codes.
• Reconciling daily cash receipts from insurance carriers with database and submitting to supervisor at the end of the workday.
• Entering pertinent patient information/details in the Health Center database completely and accurately.
• Utilizing problem-solving skills to follow up on commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid denials.
• Answering phones when necessary.
• Attending scheduled work sites and shifts on time and being fully prepared to engage in all job responsibilities.
