Overview of the Role

  • Data Scientist Associate

An associate data scientist is a technical and customer-facing professional who manages end-to-end client data science projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with data, applying machine learning algorithms, and communicating results to key business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing analytic solutions using machine learning tools and statistical techniques
  • Better understanding company needs and devising possible solutions by collaborating with product management and engineering departments
  • Communicating results and statistical concepts to key business leaders
  • Envisioning data points and building aggregate data sets
  • Utilizing databases and project designs to optimize joint development efforts
  • Developing custom data models and algorithms
  • Building processes and tools to monitor and analyze performance and data accuracy
  • Developing A/B testing frameworks and testing model quality
  • Devise and utilizing algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
  • Analyzing data for trends and patterns, interpreting data with a clear objective in mind
  • Implementing analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers and machine learning engineers
  • Guiding teams through problem definition, issue identification, and workplan development using problem-solving principles and past experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Cross-industry knowledge (Financial, Insurance, Sports, Healthcare)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming, data wrangling, data visualization & exploration

Work Environment

The role is based in Lahore, Islamabad & Karachi, and requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a collaborative work style.
