Backend Development Leadership Role

This is a senior leadership position for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to drive the success of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and architect modular, scalable systems that optimize performance and maintainability.
  • Develop system-level components such as APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure that adhere to best practices.
  • Implement RESTful and WebSocket APIs for seamless communication.
  • Design and implement robust data processing, validation, and business logic layers.
  • Optimize database queries and manage data modeling for large-scale applications using relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
  • Implement security best practices including data encryption, secure API communication, and role-based access control.
  • Set up and monitor performance metrics for backend services.
  • Develop real-time features using WebSocket or MQTT protocols.
  • Mentor junior developers to improve code quality and productivity.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of API design principles.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Expertise in database optimization, indexing, and schema design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Expertise in managing cloud services like EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
  • Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWTs, and encryption protocols.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS Pipeline, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Effective communication to translate technical concepts.
