Professor of Engineering

Faculty Appointment

We are seeking a distinguished scholar to join our faculty team as a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in one or more of the following areas: Hardware-based Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Human-Centred Engineering Design and Emerging Technologies for Innovation, Sustainable Design and its interplay with AI, Quantum Technologies, e.g. Sensing, Computing, Engineering.

• Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish a robust research programme with external funding.
  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses with a focus on interdisciplinary learning.
  • Engage in collaborative research with industry partners and other academics.
  • Contribute to the design and innovation culture of our institution.

Necessary Qualifications:

• A PhD in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Computer Science, Design, or a related field with a strong research background.
• A demonstrated commitment to research excellence through high-impact publications.
• A proven ability to work across different fields of study, and/or a willingness to engage in transdisciplinary research.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring students.
