As a Cotton Trade Finance Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our business. Our activities span the entire value chain from farm to fork, across a broad range of commodity lines.

Main Responsibilities
  1. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to prepare daily FX position reports and coordinate with finance teams to ensure that FX exposure is within required limits.
  2. Assist in preparing budget forecasts and coordinating with regional teams to achieve business objectives.
  3. Generate weekly ad-hoc profit and loss statements for cotton/pulses and report to management after reconciliation with positions and validation by commercial teams.
  4. Support preparation of documents and data required for internal and external audits, ensuring accurate stock registers and reconciliations with execution records.
  5. Calculate mark-to-market values independently and ensure correct reflection in accounting systems.
  6. Monitor commodity hedges and report variances, ensuring CP balances accurately reflect true positions.
  7. Prepare aging inventory reports and share them with finance teams.
  8. Maintain records of forward contracts and highlight approaching lifting dates, coordinating with taxation teams to highlight abnormal tax impacts on the cotton platform.
  9. Generate weekly credit risk reports and monthly cash flow forecasts, reconciling flash and finalized P&L statements and providing quantified explanations for variances.
  10. Contribute to automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance accuracy of financial numbers and streamline processes.
Requirements

We are seeking a CA-qualified professional with at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience or an ACCA-qualified individual with 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and spoken).
