Devops Engineer

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-based microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure deployment as code.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a fast-growing environment with talented engineers, product designers, marketing, and business leaders. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for working with a cloud-based microservices architecture to support and collaborate with the data platform.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  1. Collaborate with Data Platform: Work with a cloud-based microservices architecture to support and collaborate with the data platform.
  2. CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using various tools.
  3. Contribute to Data Platform Design: Contribute to the design of the data platform.
  4. Automate Infrastructure Deployment: Automate infrastructure deployment as code.
Required Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. Strong Understanding of DevOps Concepts: Strong understanding of core concepts of DevOps, microservices, systems administration, and monitoring/alerting.
  2. Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Shell Scripting.
  3. Build Tools: Experience with build tools like Gradle.
  4. Infrastructure Tools: Knowledge of infrastructure tools like Terraform, Chef.
  5. Container Infrastructure: Familiarity with container infrastructure like Docker and Docker Compose, ECS.
  6. Databases: Experience with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server.
  7. Elastic Stack: Knowledge of Elastic Stack technologies like Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
  8. Source Control: Experience with source control tools like Git and Bitbucket.
  9. Linux Administration: Strong knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu, Fedora, and/or Amazon Linux).
  10. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail (Application behaviour, Networking, Security).
  11. Agile Principles: Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles and methodologies of overcoming security weaknesses within these frameworks.
  12. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  13. Finance/Highly Regulated Environments: Experience within Finance/Highly Regulated environments will give you an advantage.
  14. Language Skills: Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
