Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance Risk Specialist. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, including excellent analytical and numerical skills.

  • Act as the primary interface between Retail Business, its Operations, and Compliance Group, ensuring completion of tasks and responsibilities related to designated functions/areas.

Key Responsibilities:

The Compliance Risk Specialist will be responsible for highlighting and reporting compliance issues relating to assigned functions/areas to relevant Business/Group Head, Retail Compliance Head, and Group Head Compliance.

  • Review and sign off on policies, procedures, and product programs developed by assigned business units/departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, periodically review, and obtain sign off on Compliance Grids related to designated functions to ensure coverage of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of assigned branches and functions, reporting findings to respective Business/Group Head and Retail Compliance Head.
  • Closure of outstanding items of Corrective Action Plan related to SBP Inspection, Compliance reviews, and/or any regulatory compliance issue reported by ARR and External Auditors.
  • Disseminate regulatory instructions and advisories to related units/departments and ensure timely implementation.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a Graduation from HEC recognized University/Institute, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector. They should have excellent analytical, numerical, and MIS skills, as well as an excellent understanding of AML/KYC and the regulatory environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of products, operations, consumer risk activities, and banking systems.
