About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Language Expert, Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and effectively translating written or spoken text from Chinese to English and vice versa.
  • You will play a critical role in facilitating communication and understanding between individuals, businesses, or organizations that speak different languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Convert written or spoken content from Chinese to English and Urdu or English to Chinese, maintaining accuracy, clarity, and context.
  2. Have a thorough awareness of both Chinese and English cultures to ensure cultural references and colloquial expressions are translated correctly.
  3. Review and revise translations to ensure correctness, grammar, punctuation, and coherence.
  4. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to clarify project requirements, discuss potential challenges, and deliver high-quality translations.
  5. Efficiently manage multiple translation assignments, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  6. Provide language support for various tasks within the organization, such as interpreting during meetings or conferences, if required.
  7. Ensure the final translated content adheres to the organization's quality standards and meets client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience as a professional translator, either freelance or within a translation agency, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in translation software and other relevant tools is a plus.
  • Strong eye for detail, accuracy, and an ability to deliver high-quality translations.
