Job Title: Software Architect / Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java)

Petrosys is a leader in mapping, modeling, and data management solutions for the oil & gas industry. Our expertise uniquely integrates with specialist geoscience and GIS applications.

We produce quality maps and visualizations by aggregating, managing, and analyzing underlying data for actionable results that communicate clarity and accuracy.

The Position:

This role requires a Software Architect / Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java) with experience coordinating developers and business analysts, as well as helping other developers in a team.

You will work out of our Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad resource center office, extending the division-based R&D department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with developers and business analysts to turn high-level input into implementable tasks.
  2. Develop and maintain software applications using Java and related technologies.
  3. Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
  4. Analyze and resolve technical issues to ensure system stability and performance.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to improve our technology stack.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with Elasticsearch for improved search functionality.
  2. Industry-related experience in Oil & Gas or GIS can be beneficial.
  3. Mastery of maths/probability skills, including Monte Carlo simulation, can be advantageous.
