Strategic Risk Officer - Compliance and Governance

This role oversees the implementation of strategic, financial, and compliance risk management activities as defined in the enterprise risk management framework.

  • Develops and implements processes to identify, assess, evaluate, categorize, prioritize, monitor, and control significant risks facing the organization.
  • Provides guidance on risk assessment and control adequacy, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Establishes systems and procedures to support the enterprise-wide risk management framework.
  • Reports risk exposures to senior management, aligning with approved risk appetite and tolerance limits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with department heads to ensure monitoring and compliance with the approved Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Maintains internal controls and systems relevant to risk management.
  • Organizes risk workshops and drives action items for implementation with stakeholders.
  • Presents periodic risk reports to senior management.
  • Drafts risk policies and procedures for review and recommendation.
Additional Tasks:
  • Plans risk awareness training for departments, ensuring correct implementation through guided sessions and e-learning modules.
  • Presents updated contract registers to senior management and risk committees as required.
  • Automates ERM Processes through software implementation and maintenance.
