Overall Summary:

The Director – Security Operation Center will oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of critical security functions. This includes developing and executing the strategic vision and roadmap for the SOC in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Implementation and Management: Oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of critical security functions.
2. Strategic Vision: Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the SOC in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
3. Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the SOC team, ensuring efficient and effective operation of security monitoring and incident response activities.
4. Incident Response: Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to mitigate security incidents promptly.
5. Threat Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, integrating threat intelligence into SOC operations for proactive defense.
6. Team Supervision: Supervise SOC analysts, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.
7. Integration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into service operations and infrastructure projects.
8. SOAR Platform Implementation: Lead the implementation and optimization of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms to streamline security operations processes.
9. Playbooks and Workflows: Develop and maintain playbooks and automation workflows to improve incident response times and reduce manual effort.
10. Cyber Threat Intelligence: Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence to support proactive threat hunting and incident response activities.
11. Standard Operating Procedures: Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forensic analysis, evidence preservation, and chain of custody management.
12. SIEM System Overhaul: Lead the overhaul and modernization of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to improve visibility, correlation, and alerting capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualification: Bachelors in Information/Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent from an HEC Recognized University (4 years). Master's degree in a related field will be preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable organization.
