Lead Data Architect and Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned data professional to spearhead our data engineering teams, driving innovation and excellence in data management.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with Big Data Solution Architects to design, implement, and optimize data ingestion pipelines for seamless data sharing across various business systems.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines and analytics solutions using cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Talend, and Databricks.
  • Evaluate and ensure that designed, coded, and procedural aspects of solutions meet operational, security, and compliance standards.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to guarantee data pipelines run smoothly and issues are promptly identified.
  • Maintain adherence to security policies and data protection regulations in all data processing activities.
  • Lead efforts to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in large-scale data pipelines.
  • Participate in daily project meetings and production delivery meetings, providing technical support for issue resolution.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure seamless data integration.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and data warehousing, focusing on building large-scale data pipelines.
  • Experience working with Big Data distributed systems like Microsoft Fabric, AWS EMR, and Apache Kafka.
  • Strong proficiency in developing data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and ETL tools.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and best practices in data warehousing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests for ingestion pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for deployments and version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of designing, developing, and managing secure data pipelines.
