Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead with a strong background in WordPress development to lead high-quality projects from conception to delivery.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have expertise in customizing and developing plugins, widgets, and themes. They will be responsible for leading project teams, ensuring timely delivery, and delivering excellent results.

This challenging role requires a deep understanding of WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development, theme customization, and working with WordPress APIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of high-quality WordPress projects, ensuring timely delivery and excellent results.
  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins that adhere to best practices and coding standards.
  • Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Optimize website performance, including speed and security enhancements.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, services, and tools into WordPress websites as needed.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of visual elements and content.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and support their professional growth.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices, sharing this with the team.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years' experience as a Senior/Team Lead WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in leading and delivering complex WordPress projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development, theme customization, and working with WordPress APIs.
  • Strong command of PHP and MySQL for backend development and database management.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with development workflows.
  • Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques, SEO best practices, and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Possess a passion for continuous learning, staying updated with industry trends, and sharing knowledge with the team.
