Senior Full-Stack Developer

We're seeking a visionary Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing high-availability, high-throughput backend systems that drive complex web applications.

  • You will envision and implement crawlers/API-clients that aggregate complex, graphical data into comprehensible descriptions of social networks.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling products.

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you'll have the opportunity to work on various projects, including planning and coordination of data modelling & feature releases and mentoring junior full-stack engineers.

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in designing and implementing scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with building efficient APIs and optimizing complex SQL queries touching millions of data points. We use PostgreSQL.
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and Python concepts like asynchronous programming, meta-programming, types, and scientific python.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the major web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, aioHTTP, Pyramid, etc.
  • Ability to take advantage of cloud-native technologies and techniques to build robust, high-availability platforms.
Benefits

We are a fully remote team working from all parts of the world, but with two hubs being Austin, TX and Berlin, Germany. We typically have a daily standup call and work mostly asynchronously apart from that.
