Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading the operational procurement process, ensuring that goods and services are sourced efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing supply chain operations, with expertise in using supply chain management software and tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies to meet business needs.
  • IDentify and build relationships with suppliers from Chagai district and Balochistan to promote local presence.
  • Sources and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approve purchase orders and oversee delivery of goods and services.
  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts.
  • Manage the procurement budget and promote long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Oversee IT systems tracking shipments, inventory, and goods supply.
  • Prepare procurement reports.
  • Coordinate with finance for timely payments as per vendor credit period.
  • Coordinate with the legal team to finalize and sign contracts with vendors and suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role managing supply chain operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of mining-related machinery and materials.
