About the Role

As a Procurement Officer at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that procurement activities are carried out in accordance with UNDP rules, regulations, policies, and strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to implement effective internal control measures and manage a client-oriented procurement management system.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a multicultural environment. You will be responsible for preparing and drafting procurement documentation, advising on project procurement activities, and sourcing strategies that meet UNDP procurement principles.

You will also be required to prepare reports on the status of procurement activities, make presentations to national counterparts and other stakeholders on UNDP's procurement process, and develop and implement cost-saving and reduction strategies in project procurement.
