Job Overview

We are seeking researchers to perform peer reviews for journals and publishers.

This is a part-time job that allows for remote work, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the academic community.

Requirements
  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in the subject area.
  • Prior publication history of at least 6 papers in SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI journals within the past three years.
  • A strong publication record of at least 25 papers in SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI journals within the past ten years.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity throughout the review process.
  • Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate Novelty: Assess whether the manuscript adds new knowledge or insights to the field of study.
  2. Study Design and Methodology: Evaluate whether the study design and methods are appropriate and clearly described to ensure accurate reproducibility.
  3. Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field.
  4. Analyse Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and supported by the data, with significant implications for the field.
  5. Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer suggestions for improvement or highlight any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
  6. Recommend Publication: Based on your evaluation, the journal editor will decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
