Project Director for Infrastructure Development

Job Summary:

The Project Director is responsible for overseeing the development of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to meet project objectives, deadlines, and resource allocation requirements.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and reviews to monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, administrative staff, workers, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Promote effective collaboration among team members, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 8 years' experience in project management, preferably in the construction sector, with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Proven expertise in project planning, risk management, budgeting, and conflict resolution.
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure development, construction techniques, and project management methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills to direct a multidisciplinary team independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to make informed decisions, perform under pressure, and meet multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
