Job Responsibilities- Create daily and next-day menu plans that meet our culinary standards.
- Source ingredients and supplies from food stores as needed for our kitchen operations through a routine procedure.
- Prepare sugar paste, icing, cream mixtures, fondants, or meringues required for decorating or special molds in cakes and pastries.
- Bake high-quality cakes with various designs, suitable paste, and capable of writing on cakes when required.
- Produce delicious bakery products while ensuring quality and hygiene of all items.
- Maintain related documentation and stock rotation of stored items in fridges/freezers as assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure the safety and hygienic condition of bakery products and report damages/wastes and theft to supervisor immediately.
- Clean work stations and baking equipment according to the 'clean as you go' principle, including cooking equipment, utensils, fridges/walk-in fridges, and bakery areas.
- Coordinate routine cleaning of areas and equipment with supervisor.
- Perform shift duties as assigned.
- Hold a Bakery certificate course from a recognized institution (preferably).
- Non-Certificate holders with training in Baking from a recognized institution.
- 4-5 years of related work experience (Certificate holder) or 5-6 years of related work experience (Non-Certificate holder).
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ability to read and write in Urdu and English.
- Operate Bakery and Kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of standard recipes and ability to follow written guidelines.
- Respectful attitude towards supervisor and colleagues.
- Teamwork ability.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
- The use of personal belongings during working hours is restricted.
